Paris Fall 2014, 15 and 16

Paris between 2014 and 2016 witnessed extraordinary events; demonstrations and terror attacks. These photographs simply reflect daily observations while walking the city. They convey history while capturing the cities contemporary social dynamics.

There are signs of events, sometimes apparent and in other cases less so. While each photograph is a factual record of the moment an element of fiction is woven in; to narrate the realities of a divergent and troubled city. This fiction is a montage of photographs ordered to tell the contemporary story. In some cases re-appropriated so they simultaneously retain sub-stories: ambiguous but suggestive of both a personal and universal nature.
